If you LOVE gardenias (not like, but love) this is just for you. I like gardenias A LOT but this scent is a bit overwhelming. As for the handcreme itself, it is not very emollient. On the pro side - not greasy. On the con side - isn't as moisturizingas I'd like. It soaks right into my skin without that moisturized feeling yet leaves behind a very strong gardenia scent. Sadly, this isn't one I reach for on a regular basis.
