Moody and Addictive

As a long time lover of the Tokyo Milk line and anything Brontë, I knew I had to have at least one of these. Never Leave is a departure from my normal fragrance wheelhouse as I tend to enjoy more gourmand fragrances (Let Them Eat Cake, Tainted Love, etc. ) However, the notes seemed the most evocative of a walk on the moors so I chose it for that reason. My first impression was that it was a little mature, but by the second wear I was fully addicted. The moss note brings an ozonic freshness that counters the more heady florals. It's at once moody and innocent and apologetically romantic. I feel transported when I wear it. It's everything I was hoping for in a Wuthering Heights inspired scent. If you enjoy cool florals or green scents, I think this is a safe blind buy. For me it was a gamble that paid off in the best way.

Bright as a summer's day

Of the four "Wuthering Heights" fragrances this one surprised me the most. Certain I was going to love the more sultry of scents, this earthy yet vibrant perfume is sure to clear the mind of winter.

With my skin's chemistry I was surprised the florals and moss come through. Fully dried down there's just a hint of lemony citrus within the fresh green of the cottongrass beneath the earthy notes of Azaleas and Lavender.

A perfect choice for daytime, anytime the way this scent seems to shift and change gives it a complexity. With springtime right around the corner on its own this would be a great choice for a new year.

As a part of the "Wuthering Heights" collection, I find that scent layering it with one of the sweeter fragrances such as Be with me Always adds an additional layer of complexity making it a versatile addition to any perfume collection.
